SIMON SOH

Simon Soh is a teacher, pianist, accompanist, author, clinician, adjudicator, and editor.
He is the Director and Principal of Sinfonia Music Studio in Singapore, which was founded in 2003. He has been the consultant of Forte Academy of Music in JB, Malaysia since 2008.
As a performer, he was invited to play with the Singapore Wind Symphony in 1995. He was also the accompanist for the Afterglow Singers in Philippines, which he had recorded several CDs in the late 90s.
As a pedagogue, he is a constantly sought-after teacher and speaker in Singapore, Malaysia and China. He conducts music workshops, masterclasses and seminars regularly in Singapore and Malaysia. In his thirty years of teaching career, he has produced many outstanding students who are now either teachers or music authors in both Singapore and Malaysia.
As an adjudicator, he was invited to judge in many local piano competitions and festivals. Simon Soh is also the author of ‘Progressive Sight Reading’. He is also the editor of ‘A Comprehensive Guide to Music Theory’. by Sean Teo and Toh Xin Zhan. Currently, Simon Soh is writing a book on ‘The Art of Fingering ‘.
Simon is a member of the IPVAEB Board of Directors, and he is also a member of the Academic Advisory Board and advisor of the Examiners council.
