To quality for each of the category listed, you must be at the upper age limit indicated in each category as at 12th July 2020.
The Ars Nova Fest is open to all instruments (including Voice) except Drums. Participants will have to arrange for their own transportation of all musical instruments to the performance venue except for Piano.
Ars Nova Fest is open to all nationalities. Foreign participants will have to arrange their own accommodation and air passage to Singapore.
All entry fees are non-refundable and are indicated in Singapore Dollar (SGD) unless otherwise stated. MW Fine Arts Academy does not account for or have any liability for any participants' bank fees and/or other related charges.

Closing date for registration is 23rd May 2020, 6 pm. Additional $30 late registration charges will be applicable for registration after the closing date.
There is no restriction on repertoire selection. The performance must not EXCEED the time limit indicated below:
Category A (8 years old and below) - 3 minutes
Category B ( 9 to 11 years old) - 4 minutes
Category C (12 to 14 years old) - 5 minutes
Category D (15 to 17 years old) - 6 minutes
Category E (18 years old and above) - 8 minutes
The participant may be disqualified if the performance exceeds the allowable time limit. There is only one round of performance for all participants. Gold, Silver & Bronze certificate will be awarded to all participants based on the judging criteria.
For participants whose chosen repertoire exceed the set time limit within the signed-up category, he/she may register for double or more time slots. Participants may also register for multiple time slots for multiple performances with the same instrument or multiple instruments.
For Duet performances or performances which require a piano accompanist registered under Solo category, only the main registered participant will be awarded the certificate or trophy.
Piano Pedal Extender and other musical accessories such as amplification speakers or microphones will not be provided. Please inform the organiser if you wish to bring your own, for logistics purposes. For participants who have other special requirements/ needs, kindly send those details in a separate document with the completed registration form to the email: .
The Jury will assess each performance based on Technique, Musicianship, Accuracy and Stage presentation. The scores from all judges will then be averaged and the average score will determine the award level as below:
Gold: 86 - 100
SELECTED Gold award winners WILL BE invited to perform in the Gala Performance Concert. Selected performers from each category at the Gala Concert will be presented with a “STAR AWARD” trophy at the end of the Gala Performance. The organiser reserves the rights to determine the number of award for Top Performer(s) at the Gala Performance Concert.
All selected participants to the Gala Performance are required to purchase a minimum of 4 concert tickets to each family.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES IS FINAL.
Performance dates, venue and time will be announced and published on the internet (www.arsnovafest.com) on 15th June 2020. The details for Gala Performance concert for selected Gold Award winners will be announced at a later stage.
All performers must bring along identification document to register at the performance venue 30 minutes before the start of the performance for each segment. There will be 4 segments of performances each day. The performer will be notified of his/her performing time schedule via SMS and/or email. The performing schedules will also be published on the website.
DRESS CODE Proper concert attire is required. Please do not wear sneakers, tennis shoes, flip flops, open-toe shoes, shorts, tank tops or T-shirt. Participants who fail to observe proper dress code MAY NOT be admitted to the performance hall.
PHOTOGRAPHY / VIDEOGRAPHYPhotography and video filming are allowed provided it is handheld without the use of tripod and flashlight. No movement is allowed in the performing hall during performances.

lost, late, delayed, damaged, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, or misdirected entries;
telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind;
failed, incomplete, partial, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions;
any condition caused by events beyond the control of the MW Fine Arts Academy that may cause the festival event to be disrupted;
any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the competition;
any claims, suits, actions, liabilities, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind in connection with the competition or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prizes and awards.
